Training Needs Analysis (TNA)

Site Search:

An implicit part of the systems approach to training (SAT) cycle, the training needs analysis is a process that identifies the training requirements (or training need) and the most cost effective means of meeting those requirements.

The TNA process involves the following stages:

  • Planning
  • Job Analysis
  • Training Gap Analysis
  • Training Options Analysis

Being an iterative process, evaluation of the product should be used to improve the TNA if the training is found to be deficient.

The systems approach to training forms part of our preferred development methodology.
