The engine temperature trainer provides an EGT (exhaust gas temperature) gauge that receives its input from a schematic diagram of a thermocouple harness. The user has control over engine temperature by sliding the thrust lever forwards or backwards and can observe how the temperature in the engine causes current to flow through the thermocouple harness. The location of the thermocouple harness on the aircraft is identified using an animated 3D sequence that zooms in to one of the engines and then fades out obstructing layers to highlight the termocouple harness below.
